This is a solid-state digital NMEA to STEP (Analog S-Type) interface, designed for applications that require the transmission of digital NMEA heading data to legacy STEP-based equipment. It converts NMEA 0183 (IEC61162-1 compliant) digital data into error-free DC STEP (S-Type) analog signals.
The device features fully isolated digital and analog inputs and outputs. The digital input operates within a range of 10–30 V DC, while the analog section supports a 24–70 V DC input. Internal lamp power for all analog outputs is integrated into the unit.
It is engineered to complement existing marine navigation systems and is housed in a robust enclosure with wall thickness greater than 1 mm, ensuring durability in harsh marine environments.
