JMC Echosounder F-1000

The JMC F-1000 is a compact, IMO-compliant marine navigation echo sounder designed for reliable and continuous measurement of water depth beneath the vessel. It combines automatic bottom tracking, a daylight-viewable LCD display, depth history recording and standard marine navigation interfaces in a compact and practical unit.

The F-1000 is designed for installation on commercial vessels, workboats, offshore vessels and other marine applications where dependable depth information is required. The system can be configured with either a 50 kHz or 200 kHz echo sounding transducer, depending on the vessel’s installation and operational requirements.

Transducer Options

The JMC F-1000 is a single-frequency navigation echo sounder, configured for either 50 kHz or 200 kHz operation according to the selected transducer. Also we can provide transducer housing & flange & tank for the below transducer models.

The approved system documentation lists compatible transducers including:

  • 50 kHz: TGM 60-50-20L
  • 200 kHz: TGM 50-200-10L, TGM 80-200-20L
  • Additional approved transducer configurations are available depending on the system configuration.

The required transducer should therefore be selected according to the vessel’s existing installation, frequency requirement and transducer specifications. The F-1000 main unit should not be considered independently from the transducer when replacing an existing echo sounder system.

The F-1000 provides automatic and manual depth measurement with selectable depth ranges. The system continuously monitors the seabed and can automatically adjust the measurement range, receiver gain and TVG settings to maintain a stable bottom indication.Depending on the configuration and operating conditions, the equipment provides depth measurement capability up to approximately 1000 metres.

Display Specifications

The F-1000 is equipped with a 5.7-inch LED-backlit QVGA LCD display designed for clear viewing on the bridge, including daylight conditions.

The display provides the operator with essential depth information and graphical bottom information. The recorded echogram and depth history can also be used for reviewing previous measurements.

Data Recording

The internal memory allows the F-1000 to store up to 12 hours of depth history.

Recorded information can include:

  • Depth information
  • Date and time
  • GPS position data when an appropriate NMEA GPS source is connected

The equipment also provides approximately 10 minutes of live echogram recording, allowing the operator to review recent bottom information.

This data recording function can be useful for operational monitoring, voyage review and troubleshooting of intermittent depth indications.

Interfaces & Input/Output

The system provides marine-standard interfaces for connection with external navigation equipment. It can connect to VDR. It’s provide XDR nmea deep data.

Available interfaces include:

  • 2 × RS-422
  • NMEA-0183 / RS-232C I/O
  • External GPS/NMEA data connection
  • External navigation and failure alarm interfaces
  • External display options depending on system configuration

The F-1000 has also been certified with a range of optional external digital displays, allowing the depth information to be presented at additional locations when required.

AC-2000 Power Supply Unit

The AC-2000 Power Supply Unit is designed to provide a stable 24 VDC power supply for the JMC F-1000 navigation echo sounder.

The AC-2000 accepts both 220 VAC and 24 VAC input power and converts the available AC supply into a regulated 24 VDC output for the F-1000 main unit.

One of the key advantages of this configuration is that the echo sounder can be supplied through both the vessel’s main power supply and GMDSS power supply, allowing the equipment to remain powered when one of the AC sources is unavailable.

This dual-source power arrangement provides additional operational continuity during vessel blackouts or loss of the main AC power supply. When the main power source is interrupted, the GMDSS power source can continue supplying the equipment, helping prevent an interruption of depth information.
