Cassens & Plath Brand Type 21 Model Magnetic Compass.
REFLECTOR/BEARING COMPASS
Reflector-/bearing compasses are to use in combination with compass binnacles. The graduated scale and the center pivot on the
top glass allow to take bearings. Azimuth devices are as extra available. Tpye/11 is to use with REFLECTA/1, Type/12 with REFLECTA/2 und Type/21
with REFLECTA/3 (Refer to the relevant leaflets). Contrary to all other compasses the upper N-marking of the card of Type/12 is above
the S-marking from below. This is necessary for long reflection optics. Type/11 & Type/12 are of card-Ø 180 mm (7 1/2″), Type 21 of 160 mm (6 1/2″).
STEERING COMPASS
Steering compasses Type/11 & Type/21 are same as reflector-/bearing compasses but without graduated scale and centre pivot
for taking bearings. These compass types will be used for overhead , desk mounting applications and in combination with the reflector compass
binnacles REFLECTA/4 and REFLECTA/5 (Refer to relevant leaflets)
