Sperry Marine Gyrocompass Navigat X MK series and SR180 series use two encoder follow up belts located on the baseplate side where the encoder is installed. These belts should be replaced on average every 5 years. During Annual Inspection services, encoder belt checks must be carried out, and if any tooth stripping or gear wear is detected, these belts must be replaced without exception. Some baseplates are equipped with two encoder belts, while others have only one. For this reason, the order supplied here is delivered as two pieces. This ensures compatibility regardless of which baseplate configuration is present.
